On May 1, 2015 Dr. Gonzalo Ramirez attended an honoree dinner as a nominee for the Adelante Award granted by the Los Hermanos Familia organization.  The association recognizes West Texas Latino men for their exemplary contributions to the Lubbock community.  Gonzalo serves on the board for United Way, Western Little League, and Lubbock Literacy.  He is a pillar of the community. The Lubbock Christian University School of Education is proud of Dr. Ramirez and his work that extends beyond the walls of this institution.  Congratulations, Dr. Ramirez - way to represent!

Dr. Ramirez and a group of education majors marched in the 2015 Cinco de Mayo Parade on Saturday, May 2nd. Over 100 organizations were involved in the 3rd annual parade. Students passed out candy and LCU pencils. Admissions and Paisano contributed candy,  pencils and T-Shirts.

Dr. Sam Ayers served on the “Anabel Reid Memorial Scholarship Selection Committee” and the “Phi Delta Kappa Llano Estacado Chapter Scholarship Selection Committee (Spring 2015).
