Michelle Kraft presented a talk for the Texas Tech University Osher Lifeline Learning Institute, entitled "From Static to Dynamic: Baroque Art in Rome," on Tuesday, October 26.
The ART 4306 Teaching Art to Adolescents class is working with the Burkhart Center for Austism Research and Education this month. Preservice art educators enrolled in the course are designing and teaching are lessons to students on the autism spectrum. Lessons are taking place both at the Burkhart Center and at the LCU art studio. There will be an exhibition of student works on the LCU campus on Thursday, November 19, 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Ling CAA Galleries. All are invited to attend.
The LCU community is also invited to a “gallery crawl,” including receptions for four senior exhibitions, on the evening of Friday, November 20. Art Education majors Marissa Carpenter, Ali Stakely, Tama Havens, and Bethany Kunkel will open their senior exhibitions, which will take place in the Pioneer Gallery in the LCU Library, in the Ling CAA Galleries, and in the Student Gallery of the Art Studio that evening. More details are forthcoming.
