Dr. Sam Ayers presented “So you want to be a professor?” to elementary students during career day at Bean Elementary School (10/16/15).
Dr. David Boyer and Tonia Boyer presented at the annual Association of Christian Educator Preparation Programs Conference held at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama October 15-17. Their presentation was “Teacher Dispositions: Assessing the Pre-Service Teacher Through a Faith Based Lens.”
David Boyer, Cathy Box, Jennifer Hardin, Tonia Boyer, Dana Reeger, Annette Mahan and Wanda Dyess attended the Consortium of State Organizations for Texas Teacher Education (CSOTTE) in Frisco, TX on October 25-27.
Josh Wheeler, Annette Mahan, and Ryan Green co-presented at CSOTTE. Presentation title: How Student Teachers Do I.T. discussing challenges in training new teachers to incorporate technology and showing innovative ways that School of Education student teachers and beginning teachers use technology.
Dana Reeger and Annette Mahan, along with School of Education student teachers, Brittany Holloway and Maci Mayfield co-presented at CSOTTE. Presentation title:Transforming Pre-Service Teachers into Servant Leaders. The session reveals ways that the School of Education intentionally encourages servant leadership from first year freshmen to graduating seniors.
David Boyer and Annette Mahan visited with the Associates of Arts in Teaching students at South Plains College on Oct. 8. Jodie Reding gave them a reminder to Be Blue!
Gonzalo Ramirez, Dana Reeger, and Josh Wheeler, along with five LCU students, attended the United Way Midyear Report Luncheon on October 14.
