Behavioral Science

Departmental News
The Behavioral Sciences Department partnered with the Institute for Strong Families to sponsor eight students to attend the 2015 Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapists conference in Austin, TX this past February. One of the goals of the Behavioral Sciences Department is to create opportunities for students to engage undergraduate research.  It is our desire that all our students have hands-on experiences that will prepare them for graduate school and benefit their future goals and careers. By attending the TAMFT conference, each student was able to engage a scholarly community as a conference participant as well as a volunteer at a state conference.  As a conference volunteer they gained valuable experience and education while witnessing the fruits of research in the behavioral sciences field. This year we have had students present and volunteer at several conferences across the nation.

Attendees included (from L to R) Meagan Huddle, Dane Eggleston, Jacob Sandoval, Andrew Pacanowski, Ben Satchell, Cori Newsom, Sommer O'Brien, Stephanie Lerma, and Becky Stroman (sponsor). Along with Dr. Michael Hardin pictured in the blue sweatshirt in the lower picture.
