School of Education

Departmental News
Dr. Ramirez and Dana Reeger sponsored LCU students presenting at the TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) State Conference held at Texas Tech on Sunday, February 15. 
Brittany Holloway and Hannah Everitt presented, “Living on Your Own – We Did It!  You Can Too.”
Kim Gomez and Aaron Peralez presented, “Successful Strategies for College –Balancing School in a World of Activities.”
Sam Ayers presented “Sports Heroes and the Corinthians” to the St. Luke’s Methodist Men (February 10) and “Sports Heroes and the Greeks” to the Lubbock Monday Study Group at the Women’s Club (February 17).
Sam Ayers had an original collage, Mother and Child, displayed in the LCU Alumni and Faculty Art Show (February 6, 2015
The School of Education hosted 6 local schools for Master Follies on Friday, February 6th.  Over 1, 130 students attended the afternoon performance.


Littlefield TAFE students and their sponsor, LCU graduate, Tina Sarratt, visited LCU on February 11.

Admissions and the School of Education worked together to maximize their experience on our campus.

Dr. Box and Dr. Ayers welcomed the students into on one of their actual classes, and the students were able to network with LCU students in cooperative learning setting.  Dr. Gonzales took content from one of his university courses and taught the high school students for one of their sessions. Admissions welcomed the students, took the students to lunch, and gave them a tour of the campus.

Dana Reeger attended the Scottish Rite Lecture Series on February  20.  Gina Johnson, an LCU student, joined her for the event.
