Communications/Fine Arts

Departmental News
The department was very involved in Homecoming and Master Follies;  Shawn Hughes, producer; Philip Camp, Host and Hostess Director; Andrew Babcock, Jazz Ensemble director; Don Williams, Laurie Doyle, MF Committee, Lynne Waide served as a dresser. Michelle Kraft hosted the Alumni Art Exhibition.
We were able to honor some of our department’s alumni at our Homecoming Luncheon.

The Music Area attended the TMEA Conference in San Antonio with nine students and four faculty members.  Dr. Camp and Mr. Babcock presented a panel on IPad use for music majors. 
LCU had a table at College Night and visited with a number of prospective students.  Later that same evening, we hosted an LCU reunion and visited with several alums and their families.
The LCU Band continues to play at home basketball games, and the games are now televised thanks to Shawn Hughes and the broadcast students. 
Two student-directed plays and one faculty-directed production are being planned for the spring. 

They also had KCBD news caster Adam Doyle on campus to speak with communications and media students.
