The Painted Tree
By now you may have seen the tree that someone painted in
their front yard on 26th Street between Slide and Chicago.
You might even be among the many that stopped to take pictures of it. What you might not know is that tree belongs to LCU’s very own Karen Randolph (Professor of Digital Media and Graphic Design in the Business Administration Department).
The story behind ‘The Seraphim Spire’ centers on LCU alumni and finding the joy
of the Lord again.

Educating the Educators
The School of Education is preparing the next generation of
teachers for the joys and challenges that come with being an educator. To equip
their students for success, the Education faculty uses methods you won’t
see in other departments. All the coloring, crafting, costumes, and shaving
cream you encounter in the education building is a wonder, but be assured, it
is quite normal.
My Great Thanks
I want to express my most
profound thanks and appreciation to all who attended my Master's recital
that included the premiere of my cantata, "This Man Receives
Sinners," on March 13. There were so very many of you who were gracious to
attend, I was humbled by your kindness. I pray that you were blessed in the
hearing of God's word through my music and that He was praised in it.
New Additions to the LCU Family
We have had several people change positions or join the faculty
and staff of LCU since our last InTouch came out.
Faculty and Staff News

Homecoming Review
We all have our ideas
of how homecoming weekend went based on our personal involvement and
observations. Data can be a powerful
thing when collected, understood, tracked, and made actionable. For this very reason, alumni participation
was tracked through RSVPs, sign-in sheets, alumni update forms, Master Follies
ticket purchases, and visual identification.
